Excuse Me While I Break Open My Pocket Book

Today sees the reissue of Whiskeytown's 1997 album Stranger's Almanac. The release will be a two disc set. Disc one will contain the original release as well as five live radio performances. Disc two will contain a large number of demos, which are commonly called the Barn's On Fire Sessions. There are nineteen tracks in all on the second disc and there are a few covers included as well; Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams," Gram Parson's "Luxury Liner," Johnny Cash's "I Still Miss Someone," and the True Believers "The Rain Won't Help You When It's Over."

The covers come from a promo EP that came out around this same time called In Your Wildest Dreams or something like that. Nice cover of the True Believers track on there.
